“Hey PMNs, I am so excited to meet y'all in just a few weeks! My name is Summer Barrett and I am a Junior marketing major. I am from Manning, a small town here in South Carolina. ADPi has been such a blessing to me, and I look forward to what the next two years will bring. I would be lying if I said going through recruitment wasn’t intimidating to me as a sophomore, but I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life. It was so encouraging to see a bunch of women supporting and encouraging each other throughout the week. The friendships I have gained though ADPi are for sure the ones that will last a lifetime.

Going into recruitment I had no idea what to expect so I wanted to stay very open minded. ADPi stood out to me from the beginning because it is where I felt the most at home. During each round I found myself feeling the most comfortable when talking to all the girls in ADPi. By the end of recruitment it was very clear to me that ADPi was where I belonged. I can honestly say that through ADPi I have found the most encouraging and supportive friends who I get to call my sisters.

This year, being on the other side of recruitment, I look forward to being able to meet all of you. I felt so welcomed and loved when I chose APDi and I am so excited to be able to help this year's Alpha Class feel the same way. The best piece of advice I could give would be to trust your gut and to not let other people’s decisions affect your own. It is important to find a group of girls that make you feel yourself and share the same values as you. I cannot wait to see each of you in August!”
