This winter has been full of officer transitions, sister meet-ups in the Big City, changing lives in Cuba, cheering on the Tigers, and the beginning of the spring semester! Our break and Clemson have kept each of us on our toes and we are so excited to be back in the swing of all things school, ADPi, and Bachelor Mondays! Keep reading to see what our sisters have been up to these past two months!

Zeta Nu Officer Transition

Before winter break, Zeta Nu welcomed the 2020 Officer Committee! Emory Devolder (2019 Zeta Nu President) passed the wonderful job of President to Kendall Goedeke! The 2019 Officer Committee was absolutely amazing and the new committee will strive to serve this chapter to the best of their ability!

“I will strive to lead with love and serve as a connector of people, ideas, and opportunities so that our chapter is full of women who are engaged and admired at all times.”

-Kendall’s Vision Statement-

CU in AZ for the Fiesta Bowl!

Some of our sisters were spoiled with Arizona’s beautiful scenery this break! The Fiesta Bowl was held in Phoenix where the Tigers won to make their way to the National Championship game for the 4th time in 5 years. Zeta Nu represented well at the championship game and our sisters enjoyed their stay in this beautiful city!

Winter Break Getaways!

Paris, France! Havana, Cuba! Queenstown, New Zealand! These are just a few places that our sisters had the privilege of traveling to this winter break! Snow and shine made for a great mix of unforgettable activities for Zeta Nu. The pictures below are a glimpse into the awesome winter break we had and will forever be memories we are able to keep with our ADPi sisters.

“Cuba was incredible! During this trip we installed filters in peoples homes so they have access to clean and healthy water for drinking, cooking, bathing, and anything else! The people were kind and welcoming. The food was new and fun to try. And the relationships made were lasting. My favorite part by far was getting to work alongside my ADPi sisters, sleeping in bunk beds, laughing at ourselves during our daily game nights, and more than anything growing together as a team showing endless love to each other and the people we served.” - Julia Ann Funk (AC ‘17)

-Our Sisters Take on NOLA for the NATTY-

Clemson University played in the National Championship this year for the third year in a row! Even though the Tigers did not make it home with a trophy, they were able to experience life in New Orleans. Beads and beignets put smiles on the faces of many of the Tiger fans! Exploring NOLA and cheering on the Tigers (no matter the outcome) was the highlight of many of our sisters’ first weekend of this spring semester.

Adelphean Compass & Officer Academy

The Adelphean Compass is one of Alpha Delta Pi’s signature leadership programs designed specifically for women and emphasizes a focus on Leading with Self, Vision, Action, and Relationships. Our President and Vice President of Panhellenic Relations, Kendall Goedeke and Jordan Barnes, attended this year.

Officer Academy is a new model of training incorporating leadership and skill development in the context of Alpha Delta Pi operational areas. The academy offered our sisters officer training and chapter leadership transition workshops where they gained skills to enable them to excel in their leadership roles and navigate challenges facing collegiate women today. Our Executive Officers had the privilege of attending this awesome weekend at Officer Academy!
