ALL THINGS FALL + FOOTBALL!

The past couple months have been so busy here in Clemson between Homecoming Weekend and Saturdays in Death Valley, to Diamond Days and Mallard Ball, things have been go-go-GO for Zeta Nu this fall! Read below for more details on a few of our chapter’s main highlights from October and November…

Diamond Days + Initiation

During the beginning of October, our newest Alpha class completed all three Diamond Days and on Friday, October 4th, officially became Delta members! We are so excited to officially welcome them into Zeta Nu!

It was so special to have my sister there to pin me at Initiation. When she was an ADPi at Clemson, I got to watch her grow and have so much fun within her sorority and her being there for me was such a special time and made our relationship grow even more.

— Julia Jeffries, Ac ‘19

“Initiation was honestly something truly special. Just the idea of becoming a member of such an amazing chapter was so exciting for me! Being able to be officially official within ADPi was an incredible experience in itself, but the initiation process allowed for my big diamond sister, Ashley Jones, and I to become closer than we already had been. Ashley has become such a stable person in my life and I could not thank ADPi enough for bringing us together. Overall, initiation surpassed all expectations and I’m truly blessed to be a delta member of ADPi!”

SEMI-FORMAL

what a NIGHT TO REMEMBER!

This year’s Semi-Formal was held on October 17th at 356 in Downtown Clemson. The theme for the night was James Bond— lots of our sister’s dressed the part wearing red, white and black dresses! We look forward to nights like these with our sisters… where all we do is DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY!

“Semi-Formal was the most fun night with all my best girls! I loved taking cute pictures in front of Sikes Hall with all my sisters… Definitely my favorite function so far!”

— EmilyAnna Smith, AC ‘19

FINALLY Fall Break!

Such a relaxing weekend off as we traveled or stayed at home in Clemson! Whether in city, exploring Texas or at an apple orchard, we were happy to spend it with our sisters.

Congrats to our New Tour Guides!

A little shoutout to all our sistas who joined CUGA and are the newest tour guides on campus! We love to see ADPi being represented in all our organizations on campus and can’t wait to see what the rest of this semester has in store for each of our sisters.

“I love the amphitheater in the morning with quiet students listening to their favorite tunes and getting in some last minute studying. I love the Football games- how loud and excited people are to cheer on a team that is as talented on the field as they are in the classroom. I even love the late nights in the library- students at every corner. My favorite part so far is the collection of little spots, all wrapped under one school—- the ones nobody thinks of, the spots on campus nobody from outside Clemson would take time to look at- the bench in the shade directly in front of Brackett Hall or the rocking chairs in front of Manning, or a perfect place for a picnic under the big tree of Bowman Field. Being a tour guide gives us so many things to love- both small and big, and we couldn’t be more thankful.”

Happy Homecoming Week!

A week full of pomping and pizza parties to say the least…

All week leading up to the big Homecoming Game against Boston College, we paired up with Kappa Sigma and FIJI in Greek Life to create this masterpiece of a homecoming float! A HUGE thanks to Hannah Laura Jordan + Caroline Alford, our Homecoming Co-Chairs, for helping us place 2nd in this this year's float competition, and for making all the dreams of “Dabo’s Dynasty” come to life! We are so thankful for both of them and the hard work and dedication everyone put in all week long.

Wednesday night was also full of fun times spent with our sisters pomping as we got to hang out with Coach Swinney and the football team when they came to Bowman Field to bring everyone pizza— such a fun memory from this week!

“Homecoming week was the most impactful week I’ve had at Clemson so far. We went all in and made so many new friends working on the float all week. While we may not have slept very much, seeing the students, parents, and alumni all weekend lining up to take photos on the throne made it so worth it. I’m so incredibly proud of all of the hard work everyone put in!”

Fall Ring Ceremony!

Lauren Stambaugh, AC ‘16

Lauren Stambaugh, AC ‘16

We want to say a huge shoutout to this hard working sista who was the Director of this year’s Ring Ceremonies! Lauren Stambaugh is nothing short of an amazing and dedicated hard worker, and one who shines in the midst of everything she sets her mind to.

“I will forever be thankful I was given the opportunity to help maintain one of Clemson’s greatest traditions!! Directing the Ring Ceremony has been one of the most rewarding, yet challenging, experiences I have had throughout college. But there is no better feeling than passing out the 2,000 rings and seeing all the students join the legacy of the Clemson Ring and become Ever Loyal to the best University!”

— Lauren Stambaugh, AC ‘19

This year's ring ceremonies were held on Sunday, November 3rd in LittleJohn Coliseum. We are so proud of each of sister’s who have not only achieved academically, but have reached this special milestone in their Clemson Story! It is such an honor to not only say “ I went to Clemson” but to truly know what it means to have a true Clemson Family, something that ADPi has given each of us!

“That ‘something in the hills’ sure is hard to explain, but to me, it encapsulates the rich history, timeless tradition, and life-giving family that makes Clemson feel like home. What an honor it was to receive my Clemson Ring and write my name in the legacy of those before me. The best purchase I have ever made! Forever a representation of the people and the place that has made me who I am. Ever loyal baby, go Tigers.”

— Jane Janick, AC ‘19

“As a first generation Clemson student, being part of the ring ceremony and learning about the tradition and history behind the rings meant so much to me. I loved seeing the design evolution of the ring, receiving the ring from Dr. Clements, and then celebrating with my friends afterwards. My mom flew in from Dallas and I was so excited that she was able to witness (and photograph!) this special event.”

— Tatum sass, Ac ‘17

“Receiving my ring was the biggest honor I have received here at Clemson. It showed all my hard work and dedication the past three years and I am so thankful to Clemson for it!”

— Sam Nash, AC ‘17

afternoon trips to RMHC!

One of the best parts of the week— visits to the Ronald McDonald House in Greenville! We are forever grateful for this opportunity we have to serve our philanthropy so often, having a true hands on experience to see the direct impact we make. A couple groups of us took two trips to go and make dinner and cookies for the house and spread some love! Nothing makes us happier than seeing the smiles on their faces… WE LOVE RMHC!

“Having the opportunity to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House in Greenville is one of my favorite parts of being a Clemson ADPI! It’s such a special way to give back and help the local community.”

— Madison Williams, AC ‘18

“Going to the Ronald McDonald House reminded me how little actions that we might take for granted, like making or eating dinner, can have a huge impact on a family. I am so grateful that I got to experience this and be surrounded by other awesome ADPi’s and get to know them better as we were serving!”

— Caroline Daw, AC ‘19

THE. MALLARD. BALL.

To finish off the month of November, our sisters got dressed up in their best camo for one of our favorite functions of the year...MALLARD BALL! Friday, November 15th at Sleepy Hollow was a night full of swinging and dancing around. We love a good time when we get to leave the dresses and heels in the closet and pull out the duck boots and camouflage!

That's a wrap on the months of October and November! Make sure to keep up with us on Instagram, VSCO, and Facebook to see more of our sisterhood this upcoming year and to know when our next blog post is up!
