“My name is Malia Andres and I’m a Junior Psychology major with a minor in Management and I’m in Alpha Class ‘18. I’m from Lake Wylie, South Carolina!”
How did you meet your Diamond Family?
“I met both my Little Diamond Sisters, Summer and Erin through Clemson Cheer! I’m so thankful that I get to see my Diamond Family so often since we have practice at least twice a week! During Recruitment my sophomore year, the second I talked to Summer, I knew if she went ADPi, I had to have her as my Little Diamond Sister! We felt the same way about Erin this past year. It is so sweet when my Diamond Family finds the time to sit down for dinner and catch up, especially in the midst of all the craziness within the past year. I’m so thankful for these two and I CANNOT wait to share more ADPi experiences together!
What is one piece of advice you would give the other members of your Diamond Family?
“One piece of advice I’d give my Diamond Family just be to take it all in! Time absolutely flies at Clemson and I wish I hadn’t worried so much about the little things, and said yes to more things that would make me smile! I know these two girls will take the world by storm one day, so I would just tell them to take it easy and do what makes them happy.”
2. How has your Diamond Family impacted your college experience so far?
“My Diamond Family has made my time here at Clemson more memorable! I know that I will always stay in touch with these girls wherever we go. It’s huge to have these two girls to just sit down with at dinner and just spill how our weeks are going, tell each other about our struggles, and just be there for each other!”
The next member of this Diamond Family is Summer Scott. Continue reading to hear how her Diamond Family inspires her!
Summer Scott
“My name is Summer Scott, and I am a Sophomore Biological Sciences major with a minor in Psychology. I am in Alpha Class ‘19. I’m from Greenville, South Carolina.”
How did you meet your Diamond Family?
“I met my Diamond Family through cheer here at Clemson! After joining the ADPi sisterhood freshman year, I knew I wanted Malia as my Big Diamond Sister. She was so genuine, positive, and outgoing. I am so LUCKY to call her my Big Diamond Sister. She has been by my side through everything here at Clemson, and has been a constant light in my life. This year, I was excited to be on the other side of recruitment and get a Little Diamond Sister. After my Diamond Sister date with Erin, I knew she would be the perfect addition to our family. She was so sweet and had such a fun personality! Now, we are all so close! From cheer practices to ADPi functions, I am so blessed to have these girls by my side for just about everything! I could not ask for a better Diamond Family!!”
What is something you look forward to with your Diamond Family?
“I look forward to continuing my relationships with these amazing girls throughout our college experiences. Although I wish we could stay in Clemson together longer, I am excited to see what the future holds for my Diamond Family. These girls have been such a special part of my college experience, and I am confident that they will continue to be an important part of my life even after college.”
2. How does your Diamond Family inspire you?
“My Diamond Family inspires me in so many ways. Not only do they inspire me with their hard work and dedication, but they also inspire me with their positivity and kindness. They are truly incredible people who embody every quality of ADPi. They inspire me to be the best person I can be in every aspect of my life. They are the best support system and have shown me what true friendship looks like. I am beyond grateful to have these girls in my life!”

How did you meet your Diamond Family?
“I met Summer and Malia both this year in cheer! I am so thankful that Summer chose me to be her Little Diamond Sister and join her family with Malia. I love being able to see them throughout the week at cheer practices, and I look forward to going out to dinner every few weeks to catch up with them. I feel so blessed to have this connection and relationship with them due to both cheer and ADPi!”
What do you admire most about your Diamond Family?
“I admire both Malia and Summer’s dedication and hard work that they put into the cheer team. They are both amazing role models, and they push me to want to be better and advance my skills in cheerleading. Also, I admire how they welcomed me to ADPi with open arms, and I hope I make my future Little Diamond Sister feel as invited and loved as Malia and Summer made me feel this year.”
2. How has your Diamond Family impacted your freshman year?
“I do not know how I would have gotten through my freshman year without my Diamond Family. Malia and Summer supported me through a confusing and challenging year due to COVID, and they were both always people that I knew I could go to for advice. My Diamond Family has truly impacted my amazing, positive experience in ADPi.”
Zeta Nu is so thankful to have these three wonderful ladies within our chapter. They represent Clemson University so well on and off of the field. We are so proud of their hard work and cannot wait to continue to cheer them on in the future!
